ET - 111

ETAC ET-111 is a high-performance Type 1T (C1TE) cement-based tile adhesive specially formulated for installing ceramic tiles on interior floors and walls. Designed for use on properly prepared cement-based substrates such as cement plaster, concrete, and cement screed, ET-111 provides excellent adhesion, reliable slip resistance, smooth workability, and extended open time for greater flexibility during tile installation.

With an extended open time of approximately 30–40 minutes under suitable site conditions, ET-111 gives tile installers additional time between spreading the adhesive and placing the tile. This allows greater flexibility for accurate tile positioning, alignment, and adjustment during installation. ET-111 is specially formulated to provide an extended open time of approximately 30–40 minutes under suitable application conditions. Open time refers to the period during which the adhesive remains capable of receiving and bonding tiles after being spread onto the substrate.

A 20 kg bag of ET-111 covers approximately:

Coverage is based on application using a 6 mm × 6 mm square-notched trowel with an average adhesive bed thickness of approximately 3 mm.

1. Surface Preparation

Ensure that the substrate is sound, stable, clean, and free from dust, dirt, oil, grease, loose particles, paint, curing compounds, and other contaminants. Remove weak or friable material before application.

2. Mixing

Add the recommended quantity of 4 to 5 liter of clean water to a clean mixing container. Slowly add ET-111 powder while mixing continuously until a smooth, lump-free paste is obtained. Allow the mixture to mature for the recommended period and remix before application.

3. Adhesive Application

Apply the prepared adhesive to the substrate using a suitable notched trowel. Spread the adhesive evenly in one direction while maintaining a consistent adhesive bed thickness.

4. Tile Placement

Place the tile firmly onto the freshly applied adhesive and press or slide gently to achieve proper contact. Adjust the tile position as required while the adhesive remains workable.

5. Extended Open Time

ET-111 provides an extended open time of approximately 30–40 minutes under suitable conditions. Check the adhesive surface before placing tiles. If the adhesive has formed a surface skin, remove the affected adhesive and apply fresh material.

6. Grouting

Allow the tile installation to develop sufficient strength before grouting. Select a suitable grout according to tile type, joint width, location, and project requirements.

• Do not add water after the adhesive has started setting.
• Do not use adhesive that has developed a surface skin.

Store ET-111 in a cool, dry, and covered area away from direct moisture, water, and excessive humidity. Keep the product in its original sealed packaging until use. Do not store bags directly on wet floors or in areas exposed to rain or moisture.
